The #1 Must-Have That Women Need to Transition from Their 9-to-5 to Hybrid or Full-Time Entrepreneurship
Are you a woman dreaming of transitioning from your 9-to-5 job to embrace entrepreneurship on your own terms? Do you find yourself longing for the freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment that come with being your own BOSS? If so, you're not alone. Many women are seeking to make the leap from traditional employment to hybrid or full-time entrepreneurship, yet one crucial element sets apart those who succeed in walking in this area of their God-designed purpose: faith-infused confidence.
Understanding Faith-Infused Confidence
"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13 (NLT)
Faith-infused confidence goes beyond mere self-assurance; it is rooted in a deep belief in oneself and a trust in God's plan for your life. It is the unwavering conviction that you are capable of setting and accomplishing your goals while having faith that God is with you and that He will guide and empower you every step of the way. With faith as your foundation, you can navigate the uncertainties of entrepreneurship with courage and resilience. Remember, God's promises are steadfast and true.
The Importance of Faith in Entrepreneurship
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." - Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
As you embark on your entrepreneurial journey, faith becomes your greatest asset. When you operate in faith, you trust that God is with you and, as you've given your plans to Him, He will guide you. With the Lord's guidance, faith gives you the courage to take risks, the resilience to overcome obstacles, and the perseverance to keep pushing forward, even when faced with challenging struggles and setbacks. With faith-infused confidence, you can boldly step into the many unknowns that will present themselves, knowing that God is guiding you toward living your purpose and destiny.
Five Steps to Cultivating Faith-Infused Confidence
1. Ground Yourself in Prayer and Meditation
"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." - James 1:6 (NIV)
Start each day with prayer and meditation, seeking God's guidance and wisdom as you navigate the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship. Let God know what you're thinking of doing and then quiet your mind and listen for His voice. He will direct your steps and let you know what you're purposed to do. Once you receive direction, write it down and create your plan. Do not make decisions until you've been given a plan. This part can take some time, yet clarity is always worth the wait.
2. Surround Yourself with Positive Influences
"Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works." - Hebrews 10:24 (NLT)
Surround yourself with people who will uplift and encourage you in your entrepreneurial journey. Seek out mentors, coaches, and fellow entrepreneurs who share your faith and can offer support, guidance, and accountability. Do not share your dreams with just anybody. Negativity can create subconcious delays that you don't need. Make sure those you talk to will support you and will not "rain on your entrepreneurial dream parade".
3. Step All the Way Out of Your Comfort Zone
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." - Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
Embrace discomfort as an opportunity for growth and expansion. Start intentionally doing things daily that are really uncomfortable for you. You can start small or go all out. You will not achieve your dreams of launching a business if you don't so something different.
Your job is comfortable. A steady paycheck is comfortable. Someone else making decisions is comfortable.
When you're called to launch a business and you don't you're spending your time living and building somone elses God-designed purpose, not yours. Step out of your comfort zone and take bold, courageous action toward your goals, trusting that God will equip you with everything you need to succeed.
4. Practice Gratitude and Surrender
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for the blessings in your life, both big and small. In the middle of struggles and setbacks, you will discover joy and peace, if you actively look for them. Everyday you wake up is an opportunity to speak or write down at least three things you are grateful for. God's Word is true and you can rely on Him, even when it doesn't feel like it. This is where your faith-infused confidence comes in.
Surrender your fears, doubts, and worries to God, knowing He is in control and has a plan far greater than you can imagine. Trust in His unwavering love and infinite wisdom. Find strength in the knowledge that He is always with and the Holy Spirit is guiding and comforting you.
5. Celebrate Your Victories, Big and Small
"Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind." - Psalm 107:8 (NIV)
As women, we can be so focused on everything else that we forget to celebrate the progress we make and the goals we accomplish. Celebrate your victories, no matter how small. This is evidence of God's faithfulness and provision and your ability to make things happen. Make time to reflect on how far you've come and all the lessons you've learned that have caused you to grow and develop. Make sure to boldly celebrate the journey the Lord is taking you on at each step; it's the launch pad to get you to operate in your God-designed purpose and live your dreams out loud.
