Do More of What Makes God Awesome
Every day is an opportunity to reflect on God’s greatness and bring glory to His name through our actions and choices. We often focus on what makes us feel good, but let's shift the focus to what truly makes God awesome to others! God’s greatness is displayed through His love, grace, mercy, and power.
As believers, we are called to reflect His awesomeness in our lives by living in a way that honors Him. This means being intentional with our words, our attitudes, and our responses, choosing to be lights in the darkness. When we offer forgiveness, show kindness, and extend grace, we reflect God's character and draw others closer to Him.
Let’s focus on doing more of what truly magnifies His awesomeness in our lives and the lives of those around us. By prioritizing His will over our own, we allow His greatness to shine through us, pointing people back to His amazing love and power.
Here’s how we can do more of what makes God awesome in the eyes of others:
Love Like Jesus
Jesus loved unconditionally and served others with humility. When we love others selflessly, we reflect God's heart. John 13:34 says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
Show Grace and Mercy
Just as God has been merciful to us, we should extend grace and forgiveness to others. Ephesians 4:32 reminds us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
God’s glory shines brightest when we are lights in a dark world. Matthew 5:14-16 encourages us, “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Serve with a Heart for God
When we serve others, we demonstrate God’s love in action. Mark 10:45 says, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Find ways to serve in your community, church, or in everyday encounters.
Live Boldly for Christ
Be unashamed to share the Good News of who God is. Romans 1:16 declares, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Let your life be a testimony of God’s awesomeness!
Worship with Your Whole Heart
Worship isn’t just about singing; it’s a lifestyle of honoring God in all we do. Psalm 96:4 says, “For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.” Whether in prayer, song, or obedience, give God the worship He deserves.
Trust in His Power and Plan
God's awesomeness is often seen in His perfect timing and plans. Trusting Him in every circumstance allows His greatness to be revealed. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
The more we live out God’s love, grace, and truth, the more we reflect His awesomeness to the world.
Let’s commit to doing more of what makes Him awesome—because when God shines, lives are transformed, including ours!
